The Flora of Australia is a 59 volume series describing the vascular plants, bryophytes and lichens present in Australia and its external territories. Flora has been sitting on my current shelf even tho' I finished it months ago, because I simply haven't been able to formulate a review that could explain why it's so good. In this latest volume, the authors describe the genera beginning with the letters N to Po. this amounts to over species from over genera. In the Flora of Australia publication treated as a genus of 76 species endemic in Australia except B. dentata which also occurs on islands to the north; 60 species are endemic in south-western W.A. The Australian Plant Census treats Dryandra as a synonym of Banksia and lists species.
